I'm going to skip the weekend before last in my breakdown. I forgot to write last week, and I've got plenty to write about this weekend, so maybe I'll go back and cover it later. Maybe not.
Friday evening I told CC I wanted to have an adventure. We went and had dinner at Kiichi, a Japanese restaurant we'd never been to before. We started with miso soup, then had two orders of crab cakes, the steak and mushrooms, and crab and avocado rolls. They were out of avocado so they replaced it with asparagus, which actually wasn't very good. But both the steak and the crab cakes were WONDERFUL.
We had emailed a girl about a threesome before dinner, and she responded during. As soon as we got home we emailed back and forth with her for a while, while trying to decide what to do if she didn't end up coming over. She didn't, and we decided on Crazy Girls. Neither of us had ever been, and when I called they said the cover was only $10 each, and they served alcohol!
So I got dressed up in my new blue and black dress, with silver jewelry, and we took a cab over. We grabbed a redbull at the gas station next door, and when we left a black homeless man cornered us and talked for a while about how he had just gotten out of prison, etc...
We finally got out of that situation and went into the club. All the girls were really hot. CC and I especially liked this one girl, Cassidy, who looked like she was new. She was the hottest girl there, but she wasn't a very good dancer. When she first came out she was waiting on the side of the stage to go on and I looked over from our table and locked eyes with her. After her dance, she asked if I wanted a lapdance, and I told her not then, maybe later. CC and I kept tipping her well throughout the night.
Lots of guys were checking me out. CC and I had decided to try and find X, if we could. There was a creepy guy sitting at the table near us who kept staring at us. He looked like someone who might have X. So when he got up to go to the restroom, CC discreetly followed him to ask him whether he was holding. He was not.
Later, I left to go to the ladies' room, and when I returned to our table, a big tall black guy with long dreads grabbed me by the wrist. I stopped and looked at him, then turned and kept walking. CC told me after I walked away he had turned to his friends with a "what the fuck?" look. I guess he thought I worked there, although unlike the girls who did, I was dressed in more than my underwear.
Toward the end of the night, Cassidy did her last show, and I walked over to tip her. The song ended and she got off stage before I could give her the money, so I followed her to the other side of the stage to give it to her. She seemed upset, and I asked if she was OK. She had had a tough night. Cassidy asked what I did, and when I told her she wanted to sit down with me to talk about it. She had only been in LA for 3 months, and did not want to be dancing.
We walked over to the wall near the restrooms, where we sat and taked for a minute. We exchanged phone numbers so she could contact me about work. Then the guy with dreads from earlier came over with a friend of his.
He complimented Cassidy, and began throwing ones at her feet. He was throwing ones on my lap and at my feet as well. I said to him, "thanks, but I don't work here. Dreads said "I know, I noticed you earlier," and I said "Yeah, but I don't work here." To which he responded "You should." I wasn't sure if I should take that as a compliment or not.
The guys left, and I gathered up the handfuls of ones and a few fives that were in my lap and at my feet. I handed them all to Cassidy. "You sure?" She asked. "Absolutely," I replied. She obviously needed it more than I did.
Then I asked her if she knew where to get X. She did not, but she said she could find good buds. "Oh, I'm covered" I replied. "Do you have it with you?" she asked eagerly. "No," I responded, "but my house is really near here if you'd like to come over when you're off." I proceeded to give her CC's number as well as mine.
It was closing time, so CC and I left the club and went home. We were almost ready for bed at 3:00am, when Cassidy called. She wanted to know whee we lived and if she could still come over.
She came over, and we packed a bowl for her to smoke. She talked with us for over two hours about what she wants to do, and how unhappy she is dancing, and how she needs friends, etc. Finally she left at 5:30, saying she had to get grocery shopping done before bed.
She asked if she could kiss me. We stodd in the living room and kissed for a couple minutes, and then I walked her down to her car.
CC was disapointed it didn't go further than that, but I could tell she needed a friend more than anything.
Saturday I was pretty much useless. I laid by the pool all morning, went to the Buddhist center with CC in the afternoon, and in the evening we laid in and watched a movie.
Sunday I laid by the pool some more, but then Sarah came over and took me to lunch at CPK. then we came back and hung out by the pool while CC worked with Neil on his sketch comedy project.
Sarah stayed over till later in the evening. I made white chicken lasagna, which was great, and we watched SNL.

Weekend Breakdown, Part Deux
It's just becoming the norm for me to post on Thursday, I guess.
We had a pretty tame weekend last weekend. Friday night we ordered Chinese food from Rice (my fave!). It was yummy! We went to PYT after that. CC didn't really feel like dancing so we hung out on the back patio most of the time. Dave joined us, but no one else did.
I had brought a flask of vodka with me in my purse, so I would order a beer for CC and a diet coke or cranberry juice for me, then I would drink some of it, walk into the bathroom, and pour vodka into the glass while I was in the stall. Toward the end of the night though I wasn't even bothering doing that. I was just standing in the middle of the patio pouring vodka into my drink. It was way too crowded for anyone to have seen me, anyway.
But, the result of me pouring half a flask of vodka in my drink was I got way way TOO wasted. I paid my bar tab (only $20!) and apparently left my visa card in the book when I left. When CC and I got home, we supposedly had some "sexy time," but I don't remember any of it. CC said I jumped up in the middle of the act to run to the bathroom and throw up. He was scared for me because of how much I threw up.
The next morning I slept in really late. CC went down to French Quarter and ate breakfast at the bar. Then he brought me back scramble eggs, ham, hash browns, and some muffins. That made me feel 1000% better.
We watched movies that afternoon, until it was time for us to go to Harrison's improv competition in Westwood Village. We went to that, and it wasn't very good. But I did get to meet Harrison and Anita. And Anita paid our way in, so it was at least free bad improv.
After we left, we were both really hungry. We decided to grab a turkey burger from Topz on our way home. So we picked up two burgers and an order of onion rings, and then ate them by the pool at the apartment complex.
Sunday was another lazy day for us. We went grocery shopping. Then we ate barbequed chicken by the pool. We lay by the pool for a while, and then went inside. CC was writing and painting, and I just read. I started another oil pastel, but didn't get very far into working on it.
And that was the weekend!

I'm so Thursday
I'm slacking off again. It's Thursday. The first half of my week was pretty busy, but now Joe's gone on his vacation and I have pretty much ZERO to do.
This past weekend was great fun. It was Easter weekend, not that that means anything to me. Except traffic wasn't bad at all on Saturday night.
CC and I had been thinking about going to PYT again on Friday night, but Sarah texted me asking if we wanted to go to Jumbo's Clown Room. I had never been before, and we'd just been to PYT, so we said yes.
I picked out a differet outfit for me. Kind of a peasant blouse that buttons up the front, but is really lowcut and cute. And a marroon shirt that goes down below my knees. Very sexy peasant girl, I though.
We get there and Sarah has gotten us a table toward the back, right next to where they do lap dances. She's with Jesse and a friend of hers named Jeff. We have fun and have a few drinks. CC is tipping the girls more than me, because most of them aren't that attractive. Sarah seems to be flirting with Jeff, and Jesse was pretty quiet, so CC and I chatted or watched the girls.
Sarah did tell me that CC and I seemed to be getting along great, which was nice to hear, because we have been. She invited me to a Girls' Night the next night.
CC and I went over to the bar for a minute to get away from the group. We ordered another round of drinks and sat on the stools watching the girls on stage.
In comes Grant and Wendel from 3-Ball! It was really weird to see them without Clay being around. We chatted with the both of them for a minute. Wendell came to talk to me and CC and stood within a couple inches of me as he talked. Really weird. Pretty uncomfortable. Then he asked if we could find coke.
Dave Berger also shows up. He had been at Larry's, and when he heard we were at Jumbos' he said not to leave until he got there. Then one of the girls who had come to our house on NYE came in. Apparently CC and I had seen her at Miss Kitty's a couple weekends before, but I must have been too drunk to remember her. I still don't know what her name is, although she knows both of ours.
CC and I were ready to leave at midnight or one or so, and so we said goodbye to everyone and took off.
Went home and watched a movie and had sex. Nice end to an evening.
Saturday CC had an eye appointment in the morning, so I took him to that, then we went to the art supply store to get canvasses and green paint. And I looked at frames for my current project. I didn't see anything quite big enough.
We had a pretty lazy afternoon. I began to get ready for the Girls' Night. I didn't want to look like I'd tried too hard, so I just threw on a pair of jeans, black ballet flats, and my black and silver tank top. And a lot of jewelry.
CC dropped me off and I met Sarah, Charlotte, and Amanda at Lucky Devils on Hollywood. We had a quick healthy dinner. had the small ceasar salad with the tortilla soup. Charlotte ordered the same thing. Both the other girls just had large salads.
From there we were just going to walk to Cahuenga. We stopped at a convenience store on the way so I could grab a red bull. We ended up posing with cheap sunglasses on.
We finally made it to Beauty Bar. I had never been there before either. It was fun. The music was happy, but not quiet right for dancing to. We had a couple drinks, but then it started to get crowded and we decided to leave.
We walked down the street to the Velvet Margarita. The other girls got margaritas, but I stuck with a vodka cranberry. We checked out the patio and then the bar, and decided the patio was a better area. Plus, Amanda had to lose the guy in the wheelchair who'd begun following her around.
Along the way I ran into a guy who recognized me from work, Alex Mizrahi, so I chatted with him a second and gave him my card.
So we eventually set up camp out back. Charlotte's feet were killing her, so we found a couple chairs. Guys kept coming up to us. Sarah was very "momma hen." She kept bumping guys' butts away from me and snapping "she's married!"
There was one guy who we swore couldn't be older than 16, but he showed us his ID and he was 26. It was hard to believe. He ended up buying us a round of drinks. We kept chatting with him through the night.
Someone stood up and announced it was the 30th birthday of "the guy in the members-only jacket" so everyone on the patio sang "Happy Birthday" to him.
There was one guy with dark hair who kept looking at me during the evening, and I kept giving him eyes back. He was really really cute.
He (Jonas) finally came forward and made his move toward the end of the night. He was very flirty and kept running his hands on my back and arm. It felt nice. And he was funny and charismatic. Exactly my type. In fact, in retrospect, he reminded me a lot of my husband!
We get tossed out at 2:00am, and decide to have an after-party. There's a guy, Jeff (obviously closeted gay), who offers his house. Six of us (Me, the girls, Jeff, Jonas) crawl into a cab to get there, but they want to stop at Ralph's on the way to get liquor.
Jonas and I ended up alone in the backseat while everyone else went in to shop/pee/etc. We were still flirting, and he looked in my eyes and asked if he could kiss me. I said yes. It was nice. I wasn't used to so much tongue, but it felt good.
Then I got a text from CC asking me to come home. So I wrapped it up and told everyone I wouldn't be joining the afterparty.
The next day I was thoroughly hung over. I laid in bed until 2:30. Didn't get much else done that day.
Great great weekend!

Why Wednesday
It's half-way through the week and I haven't yet done my post-weekend breakdown.
I've been out of sorts this week, I guess. Joe's going out of town again today, and so i've been busy. In addition, I found out Monday that Friday is not a holiday like I thought it was. Major bummer. I was looking forward to a 3 day weekend. No such luck.
Anyway, last Friday was the second meeting of Dinner Club. We had a big group this time. Me, CC, Dave, Sarah, Jesse, Darcie, and Ryan all went to STK for a nice steak dinner. It was so so so so good! Practically melted in my mouth.
We had read several review online that said even with a reservation there would be a wait, but we were only at the bar about 5 minutes before we were seated. We had a huge round booth with a couple tables on the outside. Right across from us was the guy who had just won Project Runway the week before! Sadly, that was our only celebrity encounter.
CC decided to order oysters ont he half shell for the table, as Sarah and I had never had them, and he loves them. I did not like it. It wasn't awful, but it was very hard to swalow. And it tasted like the sea. Sarah felt the same way. Everyone else gobbled them up.
For dinner everyone had steak, except for Sarah, who got the duck. We got sides to share: mac and cheese, cauliflower, roasted potatoes, creamed spinach, and the parmesan truffle fries. They were amazing. Thick fries cooked in truffle oil and topped with parmesan. Yumm!!
No one had any room for dessert.
Afterward a brief costume change by me, we all went to Jimmy's Lounge for PYT (Pretty Young Things). I had never been before, and it was really sweet. Clay met us there, along with Bernard and his girlfriend Fong, who were there with a bunch of their friends.
There was no cover, and when we got there (right before 11:00pm) we got two free drink tickets at the door. That was a first! You don't have to pay to get in and there are free drinks? Sweet!
They had a set-up in the back with a background and a photographer, so people would go and pose for pics and you could watch. It was great entertainment!
So we spent all night dancing and having fun, before cabbing it back home.
Saturday was a lazy day. We went bowling with Larry in the Valley, but that was about it. CC went to see The State's comedy show at UCB in the evening, but I stayed home and met up with Alex.
Sunday CC got us a chocolate cake! We thought about picnicing, but neither of us were really feeling it. We ended up going to Damiano's for a pizza. Then we went to the plant store and got a Cyclomens. Potted that, and began painting/writing.
It was a nice afternoon.
The next weekend can't come fast enough.

Another Monday
Had a pretty good weekend.
CC and I had talked about going to Miss Kitty's 6th Anniversary Club night, but weren't sure Friday night. We decided to go get some sushi to eat and make up our minds later.
We wanted to have a fun night of it, so CC ordered saki bombs at the restaurant and we started getting hammered. We called Larry before leaving to see if he wanted to go to the strip club with us. He said yes at first, but then backed out when he found out I would be going too - he didn't want to watch us get "hot and bothered" and then go home by himself.
So neither of us were ready for the night to end. We decided to goto Miss Kitty's after all. We got ready and hopped into a cab. I told the cab "Santa Monica and Wilton." We get there and it doesn't look right. We get out anyway and pretty quickly realize that we were actually going to Santa Monica and Wilcox - a mile in the otehr direction!
So we start walking. CC began to get grumpy at one point but I put a stop to the quickly by insisting that the walk was fun.
We got to the club and it was hopping, as we expected. It was the first time I'd ever had to wait to get in there! Anyway, we take some shots and start dancing with another couple - Sylvia and a Tim Riggins look-alike (Friday Night Lights). That was naughty and fun. ;)
Ran into Johnny while I was going to the bathroom. CC and I went outside to talk to him after that and ran into Kevin - my nemesis. CC started talking to him! Augh! But that was fine. We go back inside and keep dancing and drinking and drinking and drinking.
Some hours later, I'm outside and run into Kevin alone and for some reason talk to him, and he burns my face with his cigarette! I freak out and leave the patio. I look for CC but don't see him, so I run to the bathroom and convince a girl to let me go in with her to check my face. It looks all right. I'm more upset than anything else, but by this point I was crying.
I find CC at the bar with Johnny and Gretchen. I tell him that Kevin burnt me, and he says calmly, "Yeah, he came by and appologized." Which makes me more upset because first off, CC isn't taking me seriously, and secondly, it's a pet peeze of mine when people appologize to me through CC. We're not the same person.
But everyone insists he "feels so bad," and everyone's going to his place after the club, and they want us to go. I agree, for some reason (drinking).
OUtside while waiting for our rides, I see Kevin and a girl arguing and he walks off. She appears to be crying. I say something along the lines of "Don't let him bother you; he's a total asshole." To which the girl with her replies "She's his girlfriend."
Then I make the mistake of trying to say "Oh, the one who looks like Charlotte from Sex and the City." But I think they thought I meant her name was Charlotte. "Charlotte" huffs off quickly while her girlfriend snaps at me "her name is Rachel!" and takes off after her. Oh well, I think.
We still go to the party. I go to the bathroom when I get there and when I walk out I hear a comment about how "her boobs aren't good enough to do coke off of, let's get Gretchen."
I'm already kind of upset, so this really upsets me more. I rush downstairs and tell CC I want to leave. Except we're in downtown with no way to get back to West Hollywood.
So we stay. Kevin is nothing but a total ass to me, and never appologized to me directly for burning me. At one point he walks through a room and says "I love everyone here. Except her, I hate her," and points to me.
We stay until we can get a ride back. CC's playing video games with Kevin and I just sit there while some random guy rubs my feet. Finally Gretchen is leaving and I ask her to give us a ride.
Crazy Friday night. We didn't get into bed until after 6:00 am.
The next day we sleep in, of course. We get up around 12:30.
Clay was having a bar-b-q at his new house at 4:00. We picked up my new glasses on the way and then show up for the bar-b-q at 5:00 with ice cream and cones. We're the first people there.
We had tons of carne asada and ice cream, and then we left around 8:00.
That night we just went grocery shopping and then watched a movie at home.
Sunday morning CC made a quiche and we had Neil Anderson over to eat it with us. It was a nice day so we ate on the patio at the pool. that led into a lazy Sunday of me laying by the pool and reading, into a Sunday night watching movies.
Nice weekend!

Excitement
There was some excitement at work this week.
Tuesday there was a fire alarm right before 1:00. So I do my fire marshal thing and make sure everyone's off my floor, then run down all the flights of stairs and out onto the grass yard. We check in with our fire wardens and wait...
They finally let us go back in, where we find out that it wasn't a drill - there was an acutal fire. It was pretty obvious just from the smell. But the source of the fire - someone burnt an egg roll in a microwave!! Hilarious. So I told CC about it, who told his friend Dave, who reported it to Defamer.com! Then there was a big headline about "The Great CAA Eggroll Fire of 2008." Pretty funny. I didn't know anyone would even be interested in a minor eggroll fire. How wrong was I?
Then yesterday, as I was leaving work, I saw my first celebrity (since working here, not my first ever). I was leaving and this shaggy haired guy in casual clothes ahead of me looked back - it was Colin Farell. He totally checked me out (sex-adict that he is). He was walking out with a guy who must have been his rep, judging from the suit.
Anyway, excitement!

Weekend Breakdown
I'm back at work after a great weekend.
I went and saw Helliphino at M Bar on Friday night, which was cool. I hadn't really been to a lot of bars or clubs lately, since CC started in AA. We've mainly just been going to restaurants and going home. It was nice to get out and enjoy the weekend night.
Saturday was our apartment complex's party celebrating the end of construction. They had ac hocolate fountain with a number of items to dip in it. CC and I ate way too much of the chocolate. Saturday night we ate dinner at In and Out on our way to the grocery store at like, 9:00 pm. I hadn't had In and Out in about two years. It was greasy and delicious.
We bought the new American Idol karaoke game for the Wii on Saturday, so Saturday night we competed playing that game.
Sunday was a lazy at-home day. I did chores in the morning. Then I worked out, and went and laid by the pool for about an hour. I need to get some of my color back.
All in all, a very nice relaxing weekend.

First Post
I'm toiling away at work again today. If toiling means doing no work and fooling around on the internet. I started this job almost a month ago, and i keep thinking I'm going to get new responsibilities and tasks, but so far... nothing. Just answering a few calls a day, doing expense reports once a month, and chilling in front of this computer.
I kind of miss Forster-Delaney. I felt needed there. Really needed. And there was always so much to do that the days just flew by. And even when there was down time, there were tons and tons of pilot scripts for me to read.
I was so sad when I had to take another job because of the strike. Granted, I get paid way more where I am now, and it's a good skill for me to acquire, but I really liked working there. I could really see myself as a manager in a few years. And I had taken on a couple clients of my own. Now I've either got to find spare time to represent them, or I've got to let them go. And if I do decide to keep representing them, I don't have the resources I used to.
I'm only 23 and I'm already having a career crisis.
I will get to meet way more people at this job though. At FD it was just me, Arlene, Jenny, their families, and the occasional client that I got to meet. Here I'm working in a bigger office, and we're in the CAA building, so there's a wide pool of potential friends. That's really cool. it is freaking hard to make good friends in this city.
